Wembley is the major town of the London Borough of Brent. It used to be part of the ancient parish of Harrow on the Hill. Brent was formed in 1965, and is named after the river Brent which runs through it. Wembley's most famous landmark is Wembley Stadium, rebuilt in 2003-7, at a cost of £827m.
